Astragalus Max-V, provided by Douglas Laboratories®, supplies 500 mg of standardized Astragalus in a vegetarian capsule.

Functions

Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) is a common herb that has been used medicinally since ancient times among various cultures. Astragalus has been a popular herb in Chinese Medicine supporting the cardiovascular, renal and hepatic systems. Often used in combination with other herbs, Astragalus is mostly known for its immune-modulating properties.

Researchers have indicated that Astragalus can have beneficial effects on the immune system by binding and activating B-cells and macrophages, stimulating lymphocytes and providing antioxidant properties.

Formula

Each Vegetarian Capsule Contains:

• Astragalus – 500 mg
  (Astragalus membranaceus, root)
  Standardized to provide 1.5 mg astragalosides
• Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus, root) – 50 mg
  (non-standardized)

Other ingredients: Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (capsule), vegetable stearate

Suggested Use

Adults take 1 capsule twice daily in between meals or as directed by one of our health coach professionals. Irritation occurs, take with food.
